The Cannabis Edibles Dosing is essential for
Had someone told Cheri Sicard back in back in 1996, when California’s Prop 215 first legalized marijuana for medicinal use, that she would become entrenched in the cannabis movement become an outspoken marijuana advocate and work tirelessly for the release of marijuana prisoners, she would not have believed them. Other than the rare toke at a party, Cheri didn’t use marijuana. It wasn’t until she was in her late 30’s when her doctor suggested she try cannabis to help medical condition that the herb became a permanent fixture in her life.
Cheri was a professional food writer and recipe developer long before cannabis entered her life, so it was only natural she started cooking with marijuana. At the time there was little good information available so she penned The Cannabis Gourmet Cookbook, which took some of her most popular recipes and turned them into tasty medibles consumers can easily make at home. Cheri’s second cannabis book, Mary Jane: The Complete Marijuana Handbook for Women was released in 2015 and is a great general guide to marijuana and the cannabis lifestyle. Cheri writes Freedom Leaf Magazine’s monthly Medicated Munchies column, and her freelance articles can be found in High Times, Civilized, Cannabis Now, Herb, and more. Cheri is also the editor of SeniorStoner.com, a cannabis website for mature marijuana users and the cannabis curious. Cheri and her books have been featured in The Huffington Post, the Daily Beast, Time, Bustle, Dame, She Knows, the Cannafornian and a host of other publications.
On top of everything else, Cheri is also a long time dedicated marijuana activist. Of all the issues surrounding cannabis, it was the plight of prisoners serving life sentences for nonviolent marijuana offenses that most haunted her, and after advocating for these men for about three years on her own, she founded the nonprofit organization Marijuana Lifer Project: Ending Life Sentences for Marijuana in 2016.
